Why I ignore criticisms of the church on social media.

A very short read.

For now, I pay no attention to any ‘bashing ‘ of the Church of Christ on social media unless I’m at the centre of the hullabaloo.

Even if the cause of the uproar is genuine or false, I still won’t bother myself with it. Most people passing comments about the Church on social media aren’t even Christians to begin with — so what’s the business of a Coca-Cola staff at Pepsi’s annual general meeting?🤷🏾‍♂️ So what’s the point of engaging people who have preconceived motives?

In addition, the majority on SM are just bitter people looking for the next church gist to chew in their mouths and deserve no audience.

Furthermore, I will not elongate the supply chain of mockery of the church in the media — like distribution of content, images, and videos that doesn’t speak to the issue at hand but intentionally rubs the church in the mud. Over my living body!

Those who are part of the body don’t and can’t be comfortable doing that. People rarely stay on the subject when church issues come up on social media.

They abandon the issue and switch to unreasonable stuff (that’s always been in their mind).

And please, I mean the Church of Christ, the legal agency of God’s Kingdom on earth, not the illegal agencies springing up from nowhere.
